Red Rose Recap!

This year, Alpha Gamma Sigma's Red rose Alumni formal took place Saturday, March 7th and was a day filled with interactions and progression for our Fraternity. Our members had the opportunity to interact with several alumni over the noon hour at our Open House luncheon held in the dining room of the Alpha Gamma Sigma house. Alumni spent time telling stories, interacting, and reminiscing about their days in college as lunch progressed.

After our luncheon, for the 2nd consecutive year, our alumni conducted their annual open meeting in the newest addition of Memorial Stadium. It was here that we conducted official business to update our alumni on the standing of our organization and to initiate conversations to spark growth in the future. We would like to congratulate Logan Schweitzer on his election to Vice President of our Alumni Board of Directors, Zane Roubal for being elected as Secretary, and Michael Flyr for being elected the Alpha Gamma Sigma Foundation Chairman.

As our meeting closed, we shifted to the Ridnour Room of the Apothecary in the Haymarket District of downtown Lincoln for the beginning of a night of festivities. We began with some open socializing between Alumni, Actives, and guests and followed with a meal at 7:00 p.m. At the conclusion of the meal we proceeding with the presentation of our awards. The winners are as follows:

On the day we celebrate moms, it wouldn't be right if we didn't recognize our house mom, Susan Armstrong. We are truly thankful for all the she has done for AGS and couldn't ask for a nicer house mom! Thank you to all moms, past and present, for raising great AGS men. #HappyMothersDay #AGSMoms

Alumni Spotlight!
Recently, AGS Alumni Matt Hastings and his wife Lindsay, an Alumni of Kappa Delta, were pinned! Both of them were members of the Greek community at UNL but were never pinned while in college. We are honored to have alumni who continue to take pride in their AGS heritage. Congrats Matt and Lindsay! #AGS #KD
