Making a Difference
for Future Generations of AGS Men
The AGS Gamma Chapter Foundation provides financial support to help the chapter fulfill its mission and realize its vision at the University of Nebraska. The foundation has IRC 501(c)(3) approval, and donors can deduct contributions under IRC Section 170. The primary purpose of the foundation is to fund scholarships and programs in support of a well-rounded education that recognizes the importance of scholastic achievement and leadership in campus activities.
How to Give
Gift of Cash
A cash gift can be made online, by check, or with your credit or debit card. A monthly contribution is an easy way to make a lasting impact on Gamma Chapter, and your regular support will provide the foundation with a consistent and predictable source of funds.
If giving by check, please mail it to:

Other Ways to Give
The giving options described in this website are just a few ways to contribute, but there are additional ways of supporting the Foundation or setting up an endowment. Please contact Shane Belohrad (shane_belohrad@ajg.com) to discuss other options.
Appreciated Securities and Required Minimum Distribution (RMD)
When you give long-term appreciated securities or RMD money, not only do you receive an income tax deduction equal to the market value of the RMD funds or appreciated securities, but you also avoid capital gains taxes on the transfer. Contact your brokerage firm for the appropriate forms.
Life Insurance
A life insurance policy is another way to give. When you give a life insurance policy, the tax deduction will be based on the policy’s present value (total premiums paid) or its cash surrender value, whichever is less. Any premiums you continue to pay after your gift are also deductible.
Bequest by Will
You can designate a portion of your estate to the Foundation or to an endowment, and in some cases, receive a substantial reduction in federal gift and estate taxes.
Grain & Livestock
Grain or livestock can be contributed in lieu of cash, and this may be a more appealing way to support the foundation. To contribute grain or livestock, contact Matt Jedlicka (matt.a.jedlicka@gmail.com).
Real Estate & Personal Property
Farm land, a residence, or other real property may be given as an outright gift, or you may prefer to give your farm, residence, or vacation home and retain the right to occupy it for life. Personal property is assets you may wish to consider as possible gifts to the Foundation (the Foundation reserves the right not to accept personal property that might be difficult to monetize). A gift of real estate or personal property could support annual scholarships or to establish an endowment. All inquiries for giving real estate or personal property can be directed to Shane Belohrad (shane_belohrad@ajg.com)
Scholarships Through An Endowment
Alumni and friends can create a lasting legacy through an endowment. This is a way to fund a “Named” scholarship now and/or through your will that will last forever. The fund will ensure that annual scholarships will be available to continue supporting the Chapter after your lifetime. Please contact Shane Belohrad (shane_belohrad@ajg.com) to discuss setting up an endowment.
