The Alpha Gamma Sigma Fraternity ASPIRE Leadership Experience is an innovative, self-driven, experiential learning journey exclusive to Gamma Chapter. Designed to develop and prepare the next generation of leaders, ASPIRE challaneges members to grow throughout their fraternity experience and prepare for leadership, career and life.

Mission: Preparing men for life by coming together as scholars, living as brothers, and becoming leaders of tomorrow.
Intent
- Create and sustain a comprehensive leadership development experience that instills Alpha Gamma Sigma Principles, develops competencies and establishes life skills.
- Establish a principled, purpose-driven, and competency-based leadership development curriculum.
- Ensure an experiential, self-driven learning journey of exploration, development, and fulfillment.
- Engage Active and Alumni members to provide and share ongoing competency content, interactive learning experiences, mentorship, and career guidance.

Aspire to Activate
The ASPIRE experience begins by helping New Members build connections, understand the principles and mission of Alpha Gamma Sigma, and establish their place within the brotherhood.
Acclimate: Participate in an off-site New Member Brotherhood Retreat focused on team building and experiential learning.
Assimilate: Build connections between New Members, Big Brothers and Active Members while becoming familiar with the UNL campus and fraternity experience.
Associate: Connect New Members with Alumni Members through development workshops, the Alumni Speaker Series and career guidance.
Activate: Complete an 11-week, principle-driven and mission-inspired learning journey supported by the ASPIRE Learning Management System, culminating in activation and initiation.
Aspire to Lead
Leadership development continues through SIGMA SIX, an executive leadership program designed specifically for Gamma Chapter Executive Board Members.
Through leadership development sessions, an Active and Alumni Executive Leadership Retreat, assessments, goal setting and one-on-one Alumni mentorship, members develop six core leadership competencies:
- Self-Development
- Accountability
- Communicates Effectively
- Manages Conflict
- Values Differences
- Builds Networks
SIGMA SIX learning experiences include DISC and Predictive Index assessments, Culture of Accountability training, presentation skills development, conflict management, Chapter Officer Development Plans, goal setting, and the Alumni Mentor Program.
Career and Life Aspirations
ASPIRE extends leadership development beyond chapter involvement by preparing members for their careers, their transition to Alumni Mentorship, and a lifetime of connection to Alpha Gamma Sigma.
Members receive opportunities for:
- Career guidance and Alumni networking
- Interview preparation and coaching
- Resume and LinkedIn profile development
- UNL Career Fair interview practice
- Ongoing connections with Alumni Members
- Continued engagement through the Alpha Gamma Sigma Fraternity LinkedIn network
Graduating Active Members advance to Alumni Membership and are celebrated through a formal dinner hosted by the Alumni Executive Board, reinforcing that the Alpha Gamma Sigma brotherhood and support system continue well beyond graduation.

Get Involved with ASPIRE
Active and Alumni members are an integral part of the ASPIRE Leadership Experience, sharing their professional experience, leadership knowledge and life lessons with the next generation of Alpha Gamma Sigma men.
Alumni can support ASPIRE through mentorship, workshops, career guidance, the Alumni Speaker Series, New Member development, SIGMA SIX leadership programming and other learning experiences throughout the year.
